ENTREPRENEUR OF THE MONTH AND YEARLY PUBLIC CONTEST WINNER

54Freedom believes that entrepreneurial activities can provide viable earning options for millions of individuals with disabilities. We want to turn an individual's skills, business ideas and ambitions into revenue producing activities and assets. We encourage all those who own a small business and are disabled, including business owners ranging from accountants, artists, inventors, writers, store owners, graphic designers, and countless other types of small business owners-we want to hear from you.

In collaboration with the National Disability Institute, and 54Freedom we will be highlighting and celebrating a monthly winner of Entrepreneurship beginning January 2010. Each month winners will be chosen by staff members and automatically entered into the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, an annual public contest of identifying the best entrepreneur. Eligible business entries must be majority owned by a person with a disability as defined by the ADA. The business must have at least 6 months operating history and no more than 6 years. The yearly winners, chosen by the public, receive a $5,000 cash award, an expense paid trip, a scholarship to a LiveOutLoud event and an invitation to have an award presented at the 2010 Real Economic Tour Kick-off event at the DC Press Club - October 2010.
